This Year in School Food - Here's a Quick Guide

1. All School Meals are Free for Students Again This Year! 
   1. 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, and 1 Supper Daily
   2. Regardless of income
2. The 24-25 Multipurpose Family Income Form is open and accepting submissions
   1. This does not impact meal eligibility
   2. This DOES impact school funding and eligibility for other community benefits

4. Student Meal Pins will be launched at most middle schools by September 2.
   1. Meal Pins do not charge student accounts - school meals are still free for all students
5. Breakfast & Lunch 
   1. At Breakfast, students must take a serving of fruit for a complete and nutritious meal
   2. At Lunch, students must take at least one serving of fruit and/or veggie for a complete and nutritious meal
6. Special Meal Requests 
   1. Special meal requests are accommodated with a signature from a licensed medical professional. Student Nutrition Services is able to support special meal accommodations through our Marina Middle School Kitchen and McAteer Culinary Center. 24-25 School Food Guide

• Every day we offer a nutritionally balanced breakfast, including fresh fruit and optional milk. Thanks to California Meals for All, all SFUSD schools will offer free breakfast.
• Breakfast is served at the times listed above.
• During the School Year - We work directly with schools to set up Breakfast in the Classroom and other Breakfast After the Bell programs that are supportive, safe, and operationally sustainable.

• Every day we offer a choice of full entrees, with whole fruit, vegetable sides, and optional milk. To receive a free lunch, remember to pick a fruit or vegetable for maximum nutrition! Even if you bring lunch from home, grab a free milk, fruit, and vegetable for extra energy!
• During the summer, all meals are supplied by our meal vendor, Revolution Foods, and served by SNS Dining Staff.
• During the school year, the following schools serve our Refresh menu, where meals are prepared and packed in the school’s kitchen by a team of SNS Dining Staff:
  • A.P. Giannini Middle, Aptos Middle, Balboa High, Burton High, Denman Middle, Everett Middle, Galileo High, Herbert Hoover Middle, James Lick Middle, June Jordan High, Lincoln High, Lowell High, Marina Middle, Mission High, ML King Middle, Presidio Middle, Roosevelt Middle, Thurgood Marshall High, Washington High, and Willie Brown Middle
  • Early Education Schools (on independent campuses), Ruth Asawa School of the Arts and The Academy at McAteer serve meals prepared at the McAteer Culinary Center

• The supper menu offers a balanced meal to students after school at qualifying schools. Any youth 18 and under can access a supper meal, regardless of program enrollment. All meals must be eaten on site and cannot be taken to go. Supper is served during after school programs at the following schools for the 2024-2025 school year:

The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA
