Hello, Everett families!
Welcome to our community! Below are some school policies and procedures
Student Policies: We will review all of our student policies with our students in the coming weeks. For now, please note the following policies to plan ahead:
- No Cell phones during the day. They must be off and away the entire school day. Our priority is ensuring that your student is engaged fully in their learning and connecting with their peers throughout the day.
- Everett Dress Code: Everett does not have a uniform; we believe that students’ clothes are individual and personal. Students should dress appropriately for school by following our dress code. Please note: NO bright red or blue. If you would like to review our full dress code policy, reach out to our Family Liaison America Viramontez at (510) 838-0725. NO bright red or blue.
- Masks: All students and adults must wear masks covering their nose and mouth at all times on Everett’s campus. Exceptions include when one is actively eating or drinking, or if a student has a medical exemption.
What to bring to school:
- A water bottle
- Jacket or layers (classroom windows will be open all day and students will sit outside for lunch; it can get windy!)
- A backpack with basic school supplies such as pencils/pens and notebooks/paper. All other essential and specific school supplies will be provided to your student by our school.
Arrival and Dismissal:
- Students should arrive at Everett between 9:00 and 9:30 through our yard on 17th Street. Families should not drive onto Everett’s yard.
- If students arrive late (after 9:45), they should enter through the front of the building on Church St.
- Students will be dismissed at 4:00 through the front of the building on Church Street.
Breakfast and Lunch: Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students free of charge!
- Breakfast: Students can pick up breakfast between 9-9:30 in our Dining Hall to eat outside in our student courtyard.
- Lunch:
- Students will eat lunch with one of their classes and teachers every day to encourage community building and mindful eating before having time for recess. Students will eat outside when weather permits, either outside in our yard or in one of our courtyards.
- Students may bring lunch from home or eat our school-provided lunch. Please note that students will not have access to a microwave or a refrigerator.
Sports Physicals: Any student that wishes to participate in sports at Everett must have a current sports physical. Sports physicals are only good for one year. Everett no longer has a doctor that will come to our school site for physicals. Please check in with your personal doctor. All physicals must be signed off by a licensed doctor using SFUSD’s form.
- Baseball, softball, and boys soccer start immediately.
- Please make arrangements ASAP. If you have any questions or concerns, contact our Athletic Director, Ruben Urbina, at urbinar@sfusd.edu
If you have questions, please call our school at (415) 241-6344 or reach out to the administrator who works most closely with your grade level:
