Dr. Bonnie Lo’s education leadership spans over two decades and includes: elementary teacher in a Spanish bilingual district through a social justice partnership with UCLA; school principal in Bogotá, Colombia in a PreK-12th grade school; Instructional Reform Facilitator focused on shifting teacher practices to increase student learning; and school principal in San Francisco, where she inspired a “Community of Life-long, Joyful Learners.” While serving on the Leadership, Equity, Achievement and Design (LEAD) team in San Francisco Unified School District, she led networks of schools to strengthen Instructional Leadership Teams through instructional rounds and designed whole-child based learning across 1000+ classrooms. As an alumna of Harvard’s Doctor of Education Leadership program and UC Berkley’s Principal Leadership Institute, Bonnie is an avid contributor to PK-16 organizations. Dr. Lo has been a teaching member for East Carolina University and Harvard University’s PK-12 Executive Leadership, Equity-centered Leadership Entry, and Data Wise programs. She specializes in the intersection of organizational leadership, equity-centered coaching, and strengthening the capacity of school systems. “Do it with excellence… and treat others with dignity.”

As the Assistant of Superintendent of Elementary Schools, Dr. Bonnie Lo is excited to 

1) deepen instructional systems and structures to ensure that all students have access to learning success; 
2) strengthen the integration of central office, site-based and community supports to increase student-learning outcomes; and 
3) inspire and enact a coherent vision through curricular initiatives, instructional leadership teams, and operational excellence.
