Head of Staff

Marin Trujillo joined SFUSD as Head of Staff after 23 years of service at West Contra Costa Unified School District serving as a school site Healthy Start Coordinator, Family and Community Engagement Coordinator, Public Information Officer, and most recently, as Director of Student Recruitment & Retention. He brings a wealth of experience driving systems-level solutions and improvements in service of students and families.  

Among his many accomplishments, Marin is most proud of spearheading the efforts that led to the publication of “Richmond Tales, Lost Secrets of the Iron Triangle”, to highlight the rich history of students and families through a collaborative effort. The book was later adapted into a play and was declared a historical landmark by the City of Richmond.
