Summary
Beginning August 15th, all ES, MS and PK8 schools will have access via Clever to the Second Step® Digital Program to support SEL instruction at school sites. Teachers, support staff, and site leaders are encouraged to participate in optional live virtual trainings on August 14th or August 16th.
Announcement Message
SFSD has executed a contract for three-year licenses for all ES, MS and PK8 school sites to have access to the Second Step® Digital Program. Second Step® is a holistic, research-based program designed to improve children’s social-emotional skills. The Digital Program provides easy teacher and staff access to online lessons, extension activities, and schoolwide program supports.
To learn more and prepare to deliver lessons to students, please:
- Review this slide with basic info about Second Step®, training dates, and resources.
- Attend one of two optional 60-minute training sessions on Wed 8/14, 3-4pm (8/14 Zoom Link) OR Fri 8/16, 1-2pm (8/16 Zoom Link). Session recordings will be shared widely for anyone unable to attend.
