The summer meals program is a Federal meal program that school districts can operate. It is part of the USDA’s National School Lunch Program.
Where and when are summer meals served:
- Summer meals will be available at SFUSD school sites with summer programming.
- Meals will be available for the length of the sites’ summer program. Once the last summer program at a site ends, meal service will also end at that school. Summer program dates vary by site and program. Please check sfusd.edu/schoolfood later this month for more updated information.
You can find a list of all summer meal sites when you download the California Meals for Kids Mobile Application. This app features a map of free meal sites open to any San Francisco Youth 18 years and under.
Meals provided over Summer:
- Student Nutrition Services will provide Breakfast and Lunch at no cost to any San Francisco Youth 18 years and under, regardless of their enrollment in summer programs.
- All meals must be consumed on site, to-go meals are no longer offered.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to SNS at SchoolLunch@sfusd.edu.
