Dear SFUSD Employees,
Subject: Reporting Displacements and Trip Hazards on City Sidewalks
Ensuring the safety of everyone within our school community, including employees, students, and visitors, remains our paramount concern. It has recently come to our attention that occasional displacements and trip hazards are present on city sidewalks surrounding our facilities.
To effectively address this issue, we need your vigilant assistance in identifying and reporting any such hazards encountered while walking on city sidewalks. These hazards may include uneven pavement, cracked surfaces, or obstructions.
Here's how you can contribute to maintaining safety:
Report to Buildings and Grounds: If you identify a displacement or trip hazard within the vicinity of our school facilities, please submit a work order request through our site administrator. This will promptly notify our Buildings and Grounds team, enabling them to take immediate action to address the issue.
Report to the City Hotline: For hazards outside our school premises but within city sidewalks, please report them to the City Hotline [311 or 415-701-2311 if you are calling from outside of San Francisco] designated for curb and sidewalk problems. You can access the reporting portal at City Hotline Reporting. This will ensure that the appropriate City authorities are notified and can rectify the situation swiftly.
Additionally, please remember to remain diligent and situationally aware while walking on city sidewalks. Being attentive to your surroundings can help prevent accidents and ensure the safety of both yourself and others. You may also wish to take an alternate route to enter school.
Your proactive involvement in reporting these hazards is crucial to fostering a safer environment for everyone in our community. Together, we can make a significant difference in upholding the standards of safety and well-being.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the safety of our school community.
