On January 9, 2024, the California Department of Public Health released updated COVID 19 isolation guidelines for the general public. The updated CDPH guidance has moved away from recommending five days of isolation. The new recommendation for students is to stay home if they have tested positive or have been diagnosed with COVID 19 until they have NOT had a fever for 24 hours without using fever reducing medication AND other COVID-19 symptoms are mild and improving. The revised guidance and associated documents are now posted on the Find All Guidance (ca.gov)
SFUSD Updated Guidance for Students has been updated with the guidance. Human Resources will be updating COVID guidance for staff in accordance with CalOSHA guidance.
