The meeting about how county offices of education and school districts can learn more about bringing NOEA Day to their schools this February will now be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18. You may register for the rescheduled webinar with this link. A new invitation has been sent to everyone who RSVP’d for the first time.
The webinar will be recorded for those who cannot attend.
NOEA is a day of action that leverages students’ leadership potential to create belonging in their schools. It was created by Beyond Differences to encourage youth to sit with others, find new friends, and model ways to end social isolation in middle school. We know more than ever the importance of addressing students’ mental health.
The free program is intended for K-8 and 6-8 schools. Participating schools will receive digital curriculum and be shipped one Belonging Box to facilitate student-led NOEA Day activities. Each county superintendent is being shipped a Belonging Box so that you may familiarize yourself with the contents, and we hope you will help spread the word on this program to your schools. (There will be one Belonging Box per school, but multiple teachers from a school can register and access the digital curriculum.)
If you have difficulty registering for the webinar, please contact Director of Communications Eric Wittmershaus at ewittmershaus@scoe.org.
