SEL​/Culture Climate surveys ​provide important information to use in our school planning process and as a way to assess some of our priority work. For those of you new(er) to this process: there are 3 surveys – one for students (Grades 4-12), one for staff and one for all PK-12 families. This year’s survey window will be February 26, 2024 - March 13, 2024.

WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW: 

• Passive consent forms will be sent via ParentVue to families for the student survey beginning January 8th, 2024. This message can be found here - including translations. Remember passive consent means that only those families who do not want their child to complete the student survey need to return the letter! 
• You will not need to collect anything at the site, unless families reach out to you directly. Families are instructed to send opt-out requests to sel@sfusd.edu and you will receive a list of families that do not want their child to participate by January 26, 2024. 

TO DO for Site Leaders:  

• Please identify your Survey Designee(s) HERE. by January 19, 2024 (You can check a list of last year’s designees for each school site in this week's (12/15/23) LEAD News, as a reference.) This person will serve as your school’s primary point of contact for the Spring 2024 survey administration. They will receive regular updates throughout the survey season. For any sites that do not select a designee, principals and assistant principals will be considered designees by default.
