Free Field Trip Opportunity with San Francisco Ballet and SF Museum of Modern Art |
Join SF Ballet and SFMOMA for a free educational screening of the dance film COLORFORMS, choreographed by Myles Thatcher, performed by SF Ballet, and filmed on-site in the galleries of SFMOMA.
SF Ballet is pleased to partner with SFMOMA to offer free field trips for Bay Area school groups to experience the whimsical dance film COLORFORMS, complete with a visit to the museum galleries to explore the works of art featured in the film. This is an excellent opportunity to expose students to dance, music, media and visual art forms in a hands-on, interactive, and integrated setting!

Where: Phyllis Wattis Theater inside the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 151 3rd Street, SF (~7 min walk from BART Montgomery Street station) All of the below screenings are offered at 10:30–11:30 am and 12:15–1:15 pm. Morning screenings include gallery access after the film; afternoon screenings have the choice between gallery access either before or after the film depending on the school schedule. School groups who choose to visit the galleries before an afternoon screening must plan to arrive at the Third Street entrance at 11 am on the day of their screening.
Who: Bay Area school groups. Recommended for grades 2–12.
Cost: FREE! Reservations required. Space is limited.
