The goal is to get your site’s MFIF submissions up, so your families who qualify for Free and Reduced benefits get the support they need. The deadline for submission was September 24, 2023, but we need your help to follow up with families, so we can have all submissions processed by the October 4 deadline. 

If your school site surpasses 50% Free and Reduced eligibility:  

• Your school site becomes eligible for a supper program and summer meal program
• Additional impact and benefits for family support programs as well

If your school site reaches 75% and above you are eligible for Title 1 and additional categorical funding.

We’re doing everything we can to let families know the benefits of submitting the MFIF, but we need your help! Please begin following up with parents as soon as possible. See the follow-up instructions below: 

1. Identify who still needs to submit a MFIF by accessing the roster from Synergy.
   • Go to Synergy instructions here No MFIF on file roster #66.  
2. Coordinate staff to call parents and apply on their behalf on SchoolCafe.com.
   • Go to Schoolcafe.com, scroll down, type in CA San Francisco USD, select "Apply as a guest" and complete the info and submit. (For guidance use the SchoolCafe parent MFIF guide)
