This action is required as part of the Gradebook Sync process so teachers can access their Gradebooks. When Section Locking is enabled, school staff will NOT be able to change key fields (Begin/End Period, Course ID, Meeting Days, etc.) and will NOT be able to delete class sections nor delete students from sections in the class section records. 

If you need to make changes to sections, or drop students from sections, please follow these steps. Please note that Leave Dates are now required when students are dropped from a section. Deleting records instead of entering leave dates causes an error between class section records and Gradebook records.
