Dr. Rebecca Silverman and her team of researchers from Stanford University are conducting a study, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, to understand best practices for supporting the language and literacy development of multilingual learners in 4th and 5th grade.  The project has two aims: 1) to study a small group instructional program (CLAVES) for multilingual learners and their peers who could benefit from language and comprehension focused instruction and 2) to identify best practices currently in place in schools for supporting multilingual learners.
