Updated timeline and action steps to administer the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) - for all K-8, MS & HS
Announcement Message
As a follow-up to the 9/21/22 OASIS post: The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) will be completed by randomly selected classrooms in grades 6-12 in every K-8, middle and high school. The list of classrooms will be sent to the principal of each school along with instructions.
Updated Timeline & Action Steps:
- NEW Dates: October 13-19 - this phase has been extended: Instructions, family consent forms and the list of specific classrooms will be delivered to the principal of each school
- October 14-21: Distribute family consent forms as soon as they arrive at your school.
- Grade 6 requires active consent for the survey;
- Grades 7-12 returned only if the family does not want their student to complete the survey.
- November (please note Veterans Day and the weeklong Fall Break): Implement the online survey. Each teacher can pick the date that works for them during November.
- December 2: Due date to complete administration of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)
