Thousands of students across San Francisco will walk, bike, scoot, and roll to school during the week of October 3 – 7, 2022. The event builds yearlong excitement around getting to school in people-powered ways that are good for our health, climate, and communities. Schools can pick a date during the week that works best; most schools will hold their event on Wednesday, October 5.

How it works

SFUSD schools can pick any day during the week of October 3 – 7 to celebrate Walk & Roll to School Day; most will hold their event on Wednesday, October 5. Elementary schools should first register their event, and then use the toolkit to plan a successful event. Middle and high school students who walk or roll during the week of October 3 – 7 can enter a drawing for a Timbuktu backpack.
