August 2022 Paraeducator Institute Registration Form

Audience: All SFUSD Paraeducators

Facilitators: Members of the Paraeducator Leadership Network (PLN); the PLL team (Professional Learning & Leadership); other SFUSD staff

When: August 8-12 

August 8-9 (Mon - Tues), 8:45am - 4:00pm: Attend workshops of choice
August 11-12 (Thurs - Fri), 8:45am - 4:00pm: Safety Care Training or Independent Learning Modules

***Wednesday, August 10th is Digital District Day which paraeducators can also attend, so no Para Institute Wed.

Where: The Institute is VIRTUAL! Attend from anywhere on your device!

Attending: You are not required to attend every day or stay for a full day. It is up to you how many days and how many workshops you attend each day. You can create your own schedule once you register.

Compensation: SFUSD paras are paid to attend the Para Institute through the 7 Hour Contractual PD Day and/or your 18 Paid Professional Development Hours. See payment info here.

Description: The 6th Annual SFUSD Paraeducator Institute will be held virtually the week of August 8-12 (every day except Wednesday which is Digital District Day!). The Paraeducator Institute is designed to support paraeducators to feel valued and supported and to allow paraeducators to engage in meaningful and relevant professional development. Workshops will enhance your wisdom and talents in service of improving student learning and student experiences. Attendees can select morning and afternoon workshops to attend to best meet your job needs and professional learning desires. We anticipate 1000 paraeducators attending each day.
