Georgia McHugh $5000 Scholarship
(deadline March 31st)
Honoring High School Senior Girls and/or female identified people for Scholarship, Leadership and Community Service
The Georgia McHugh Scholarship recognizes up to two high school senior girls and/or female identified people who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership and community service.
The award is limited for use in the first year of college and will be paid directly to the recipient’s school.
Dear Teachers, Coaches, Counselors and interested applicants,
Soroptimist International of San Francisco is seeking applicants for two $5000.00 scholarships. All applicants must be high school seniors in the San Francisco Unified School District, planning to attend a California college or university.
Eligibility:
- Girls or female identified people who are currently seniors in a San Francisco high school and who are planning to attend an accredited four-year California college or university
- Recipient must maintain a 2.75 GPA during their college/university year
- Financial need will be considered
- Must be a resident of the City and County of San Francisco
Deadline:
- Applications must be postmarked by March 31st.

*If March 31st falls on a Holiday or on a Sunday, the postmarked or electronic submission due date is the next business day when the post office will be open. (Example: if March 31st falls on a Sunday, the entries must be postmarked by April 1st). Please do NOT hand deliver your application, it will not be accepted at the above address.
