Reminders about Color Test Kit Registration
Beginning in January 2022 there will be changes to the Color platform for registration of test kits. Staff will be asked to complete a consent form to authorize Color Health to bill your health insurance provider for prior and future tests. Testing service will continue to be provided at no cost to staff regardless of your health insurance status. If you have health insurance you will be required to provide your health insurance information on the registration form.
Please enter your health insurance information for Color test kits.
- All staff who submit a COVID-19 test using the Color kits provided by SFUSD should provide their health insurance information when completing the kit registration.
- Currently, only 50% of staff who use Color are consistently entering their health insurance information. This results in SFUSD being charged $63 per test submitted to Color for analysis.
- Providing health insurance information allows the district to be reimbursed for testing costs.
- (We are working on updating the app to save this information moving forward!)
Testing services will continue to be provided at no cost to staff regardless of your health insurance status.
