SFDPH Guidance for Schools Regarding Large Events

Remember that large events, including assemblies and school dances, must follow San Francisco Department of Public Health safety guidelines: 

• Early Education / PK follows SFDPH Childcare guidelines for events (which include a summary chart on page 6). 

• Grades TK-12 follow SFDPH TK-12 guidelines for large events (which include requirements for proof of vaccination of both staff and participants).

Please note that San Francisco DPH guidelines do not require California DPH recommendations for how to minimize risk of transmission. As a district, we are not allowing school sites to make their own policy to follow the California DPH recommendations.
