Announcement Message
SFUSD is engaged in designing an enduring instructional vision and the guidance for that vision in practice across schools and classrooms so that each and every student has the opportunity to thrive. In a time of persistent opportunity gaps and shrinking budgets, we plan to get clear about what instructional moves matter most to the success of each and every student. Review this Purpose Statement for more context on this work.
Building on our vision for our students as articulated in the Graduate Profile and our Deeper Learning Framework for instruction, we want you and your esteemed colleagues’ input on the specific skills most important to center in this instructional design. We invite educators and site leaders to share your perspective at this phase by completing this activity. It should take 30-60 minutes depending on the level of reading and research you find helpful. Included in the activity is a sign-in sheet to receive an hour of extended pay for this work. Please plan to complete this activity by Friday, December 17th so we can triangulate this "empathy data" with research in the field and district data to narrow on a set of outcomes that will anchor our instructional approach.
You can also join a zoom meeting on Monday, December 13th, 4-5pm if you would like more context and support for completing this activity.
Contact Brian Fox (foxb2@sfusd.edu), iLab Director with questions.
Compensation: Participants are eligible to receive one hour of extended pay for their participation.
