Announcement Message
Brief Intervention is a short-term intervention focused on adolescents who use alcohol, tobacco and/or other drugs (ATOD). The program consists of two Nearpod sessions and one zoom session. This training approach uses motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy and the stages of change model to meet the needs of adolescents. The program is often used as an alternative to suspension and may be implemented on a mandatory or voluntary basis.
Who should attend: New HS and MS Nurses, HS and MS Counselors and Head Counselors, Wellness Coordinators, Social Workers/Wellness Counselors, Deans, Interns and Community Partners who work with your school!
