Attention all School Principals and Interested teachers:
Description: All Arts Coordinators will support the priorities and work toward meeting the objectives of the SFUSD Arts Equity Plan, SFUSD Vision 2025 & the Graduate Profile, and the Arts Equity Resolution Funded through PEEF, the 106 positions serving all SFUSD schools are managed centrally in the Arts Department. The Arts Department Arts Coordinators will participate in professional development and team planning designed and facilitated by the Arts Department. The Arts Coordinator, typically a classroom teacher, receives an annual stipend of $1,000.00 for the school year from the Arts Department and should partner with the Arts Generalist Teacher, Artist in Residence, the site administrator, and school communities to plan a successful program each year. Collectively, the school Arts Coordinators network is the primary liaison to the SFUSD Arts Equity Plan implementation and also Vision 2025: Developing Students to Compete and Thrive in the 21st Century World and the Arts Department. They provide leadership for the plan’s implementation under the direction of their school sites principals.
Teachers of academic subjects should collaborate with their school’s arts coordinator, arts specialists and arts providers, taking an active role in developing methods for integrating the arts into their curriculum. The Arts Coordinators can help their site leader in the implementation of the SFUSD Arts Equity Plan at each school. Principals and Arts Coordinators are to collaborate with the district leadership, the Arts Department, site councils, teachers, parents, students and other arts providers.
4 Mandatory meetings are required this year virtually on the following dates: With the understanding of the new schedules for Middle school we will make accomdations for people who will show up late due to change in their teaching schedules.
