Now in its 26th year, San Francisco Arts Education Project’s SFArtsED Summer is an immersive arts camp for kids ages 6-14 led by some of the Bay Area’s finest visual and performing artists for three fun- and art-filled sessions from June 14-July 23. This year, we’re safely in person at the San Francisco Art Institute’s beautiful Fort Mason Campus.
For younger kids, ages 6-9, we have Exploration, with daily creative journeys in singing, dancing, painting, sculpting, rhythms, theater, and more. For older kids, we offer Broadway Bound (ages 9-14) with training in the triple-threat musical theater skills of singing, dancing, and acting. For ages 10-14, we offer three Art & Design sessions that open up the visual artist’s studio to create sculpture, painting, drawing, illustration, and mixed media. In the design realm for ages 10-14, we offer skill building and garment making in Fashion and a peek behind theatrical scenes to create sets, props, and costumes in Design for Theater. The full schedule and online registration are at www.sfartsedsummer.org.
