What: Pickup of Outdated Student Records
Why: As described in Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 3580, student records classified as disposable records can be destroyed during the third school year after the school year when they were created.
Due to Covid-19 and shelter-in-place, SFUSD warehouse staff will not be able to pick up outdated Cumulative Guidance Records (cum folders) during the spring 2021. At this time, all out dated cum folders, from June 2016 and earlier, will have to be temporarily stored at the school site. Schools should safeguard the privacy of the student records at their sites until SFUSD warehouse staff can safely remove and destroy the old student records.
Schools will be informed when the SFUSD warehouse staff is able to resume the annual process of picking up student records from your school by SFUSD warehouse staff. These outdated folders will be shredded; they will not be stored at Pupil Services so,
PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM TO PUPIL SERVICES
