Announcement Message
For all educators in SFUSD who are interested in leading racial affinity groups (including admin, teachers, paras, etc).
This is a four-session series to build skills and capacity to launch and sustain racial affinity groups in service of SFUSD’s equity goals. SFUSD believes that the personal and institutional transformation required to realize our equity goals requires that each of us does our own “alone” equity work, that we engage sometimes in “affinity,” to prepare us to engage productively and supportively “across difference.” We have found that the support provided through racial affinity groups can provide important space for BIPOC and white people separately to heal, to deepen awareness, to practice moving with deeper awareness, and to find community and support.
The first session will be on Thursday, February 25th. Please submit your registration by Monday, February 22nd.
