SFUSD will be providing Actively Learn E/LA licenses for every 6th-8th grade student. School sites will pay for text rentals.
The next trainings are scheduled for:
- Wednesday, Jan. 20: 1:15-2:45 pm (during early release for MS)
- OR Thursday, Jan. 21: 3:00-4:30 pm (eligible for 18 hours)

Actively Learn is a digital content platform that offers:
- Rich and diverse catalog of texts and videos
- Engaging, standards-aligned instruction including
- The ability to add or modify instruction
- The ability to bring your own content and share with colleagues
- Differentiation tools including text to speech and translation in over 100 languages
SFUSD has set up a purchasing agreement with Actively Learn that allows teachers to request a rental for their students in the platform. The request then goes to the site’s principal via email, who will then digitally “approve” or “decline” the request. If approved, the titles are immediately released to the teacher/students and an invoice will be sent to the school site.
