All SFUSD employees (site and central) are invited to participate in this professional learning experience offered through the Leading for Equity PD series.
Title: Creating Liberating Learning Spaces: Emergence, Embodiment, & Abolitionist Practice in SFUSD

Session Dates: Full Day + 4 Evening Sessions + 1 Optional Session

Evening Sessions (4:30-6:30pm): Jan 20, Jan 26, Jan 27, Feb 1, Feb 3
Audience: This intensive institute is open to all employees of the SFUSD community - site and central staff - across all roles (paras, teachers, admin, support staff, etc.). We recommend schools or central teams attend with a group so the learning can be best integrated after.
Description: This institute intends to explore the embodiment and operationalization of “Abolitionist Practice” in SFUSD schools and learning spaces through 3 promising approaches to actualizing Abolitionist Practice: Embodiment (self), Emergence (interactions & communities), and Co-conspiring (systems and structures).
