K-12 Teachers Who Teach Health, Health Advocates, School District Nurses, School Social Workers & Wellness Staff: join us for a paid online training series to learn more about California's new Health Education Framework!
The Framework offers up-to-date, relevant guidance on the Why, What, and How of teaching comprehensive health education in grades K-12. Research clearly demonstrates that healthy students are better learners. Now more than ever, we have a responsibility to improve the health literacy of our students so they can lead healthy lives that support their learning now, as well as ensure they are college, career, and life ready.
Please register today, because space is limited.
Once confirmed, you will get an email allowing you to access the introductory session, Health Education in California Schools (the first of 4). Please complete the introductory session by December 31 and plan to finish the entire series by April 15th. There is a participant survey at the end of each online course, completing it will generate the certificate of completion required for processing your stipend.
Each session will take approximately two hours to complete, and should be done outside of contractual hours. The sessions are designed to be done at your own pace. Each session includes questions to help reinforce participants’ learning, but no live instructional time is required.
Note: If participants are claiming the $100/session stipend, they may not claim QTEA hours
