November 13-15, Nearpod will be offering “Camp Engage,” a free, web-based conference offering a series of webinars for educators new to Nearpod (e.g. “A Beginners Guide to Nearpod”), as well as more targeted offerings for veteran Nearpod users (e.g. “Build SEL Skills with Nearpod”). Check out this link for more details and registration information.
All SFUSD educators have access to the Nearpod EL Content Library! This resource includes the following categories of materials:
- EL Content Companions: pre-made Nearpod lessons for grades 6-12 to support reading (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies, all with integrated language objectives
- Academic Vocabulary: mini-word study lessons for grades 6-12 build around high leverage academic vocabulary that can be applied across content areas
- Newcomer Essentials: pre-made lessons exploring “survival vocabulary” for situational, real-world moments. Most lessons include virtual reality “field trips” to common places in the school and community.
- Grammar: Focused grammar and syntax lessons for varied levels of English Learners

These resources and more can be found in the “English Learners” tab, under the heading Nearpod Content on the left-side navigation bar of your Nearpod dashboard.
In addition, all SFUSD Educators have access to Historical Perspectives and Literacy and Social & Emotional Learning Lessons.
