Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent stay-at-home orders, SFUSD school sites were closed from March 16, 2020 through April 10, 2021. During this time, instruction was provided through remote learning. 

SFUSD began offering a hybrid schedule in the Spring 2021 semester, where families could opt for their child to return to in-person learning based on their student’s school and grade level. The timeline for return to in-person learning based on grade levels and schools are as follows:

All SFUSD schools fully reopened for in-person learning for SY 2021-2022 on August 16, 2021.
