Announcement Message
The enrollment process for San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Preschool and Toddler programs became more accessible and family friendly as we rolled out our online application on Monday, Dec. 2!
Moving to an online application for all families will have many benefits for families:
- Increase the speed in which families can apply to PreK and Toddler programming for any Early Education (EED) site
- Increase accessibility so that families don’t need to come in person to provide a paper application
- Ensures the correct Enrollment Specialist will receive your child’s application
- Creates one application system for all PK-12 families in SFUSD by aligning with the established TK-12 application process
Parents will of course be able to turn in a paper application if they still prefer to do so.
Results for applicants will improve significantly in the following ways:
- One enrollment application: with moving all families to an online application, we will have one application process for all PreK and Toddler families regardless of whether you are looking for subsidized child care or full fee options.
- Families will already be in the application system when it’s time to apply for TK or K: when families are ready to apply for TK or K for their child, they will already have a ParentVue account set up and information in the system, reducing the time and effort required to apply for future placement in the TK-12 system. Documents uploaded to ParentVue can be used in future applications such as birth certificates and proof of address.
If you are interested in applying to SFUSD’s Preschool or Toddler programs, you can submit your online application at sfusd.edu/onlineapp.
For additional help in submitting an online application for your Toddler or PreK child, you can follow the step-by-step instructions on how to complete the Early Education online application (available in multiple languages).
