Announcement Message

The Black Literary Achievement Club (BLAC) and Youth Leadership Advisory Board (YLAB) are dynamic programs designed to empower students by fostering their leadership skills and cultural identity. BLAC focuses on enhancing literacy and self-expression among Black students, providing a supportive environment where they can explore Black literary icons, engage in creative writing, and develop a strong sense of cultural pride. Through these activities, students gain confidence in their abilities, improve their writing skills, and build a solid foundation for future success.

YLAB, on the other hand, is a leadership development program that offers students the opportunity to actively participate in decision-making processes and community projects. By working alongside peers, students learn essential leadership skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication. The program encourages students to take initiative, advocate for their communities, and become change-makers. Both programs are instrumental in helping students develop a strong sense of identity, purpose, and the skills needed to thrive academically and socially.
