A teen-made feature length documentary film called Fentanyl High has been screening all over the South Bay movie theaters, high schools and community centers in recent months.

Seeing the tremendous community response from the parents, teens and families who have seen it, SFUSD's Student and Family Services Division will host a screening of this documentary to San Francisco to share real teen perspectives about the dangers of fentanyl poisoning and opioids, why teens are self-medicating, and what can be done about it.

On May 22, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., LC2 Productions, in collaboration with the San Francisco Unified School District, the City of San Francisco, and SFJAZZ, will present a free screening of Fentanyl High. This feature-length documentary, tailored specifically for high school students, delves into the grave issue of fentanyl poisoning. The film presents personal stories from paramedics, government officials, physicians, and parents who have lost teenagers to the opioid crisis.

We hope you can join us.

For SFUSD Site leaders & Wellness teams, please share this flyer in school newsletters, websites, and google classrooms to encourage middle and high school students and their parents to attend this screening.

Contact Najwa Ahmed (ahmedn@sfusd.edu) Or Christine Hardiman (hardimanc@sfusd.edu) if you have any questions.
