Announcement Message
San Francisco Unified School District’s Vision for Language and Literacy Instruction represents the components of curriculum and instruction that we believe are most important in order for students to develop as critical thinkers and proficient readers, writers, and communicators. These components are inclusive of the instructional shifts represented by the Common Core State Standards and the California English Language Development Framework.
This vision provides an overview of each component of our language and literacy program, as well as guidance for what these practices look like in classrooms with students.
