Inclusive Schools Week - Thank You SFUSD Community!

Thank you to all of our teachers, school leaders, families and community members for putting together such an impressive array of inclusion programming at our schools. One of the things that stood out this year is how many folks used the week to highlight inclusion activities and programs that happen at their sites all year long.

• Special thanks to the Arts Department for their leadership role this year and their focus on Inclusiveness in the December Arts Department Newsletter. 
• Once again the PE Department and Special Olympics did an amazing job sharing and leading ability awareness lessons and activities and hosting interactive athlete assemblies. They assemblies provided opportunities for students to talk about inclusion, bullying and disability culture and awareness.
• Be sure to check out the inclusive books curated by our Library Department 
• We'd also like to thank the Children's Creativity Museum and Support for Families for hosting an access hour for families and an at home inclusion mystery box challenge for our students.
