Announcement Message
National Park Service (NPS) is looking to recruit volunteers for National Public Lands and Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept, 23, 2023.
National Public Lands Day is a day of service dedicated to performing acts of service in order to safeguard and give thanks to our public lands.
Coastal Cleanup Day is a day of service dedicated to collecting and tallying up trash found on beaches in order to get data and raise awareness of pollution in our oceans.
Service and stewardship are core values at NPS and its partner agencies, which is why it’s important for us to be working on this project with everyone.
This service day is not only important for volunteerism nationwide, but it’s also a call to action in our communities to address pollution and work toward systemic changes. It also allows us to help the environment!
We are grateful to all our volunteers that have chosen to spend their time with us in the park and hope you can join us in this important service and see how community can come together and make changes.
