Volunteers - Get Paid!

The Felton Institute is a social service agency providing services in San Francisco for over 150+ years.

As you aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted our kids in many ways and at different levels.

We’re here to help!

We’d like to introduce you to the Foster Grandparent Program, an amazing program funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

This program pairs older adults with school children to assist them as their foster grandparent.

If you have older adults currently volunteering to read with kids, assist teachers in the classrooms, lunch rooms, or with after school programs, etc...we can pay them a small stipend for their volunteer efforts.

And, if you need volunteers in different classrooms/after school programs, we may be able to match you with an amazing volunteer.

Receive a small, tax-free hourly stipend that will not affect governmental benefits! 

Who is eligible? 

• Age 55 or older
• Max income of: 
  • Single:
    • $2,430/month or $29,160/year
  • Married: 
    • $3,287/month or $39,440 year
