The San Francisco Alliance of Black School Educators (SFABSE) presents the 26th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art and Composition Contest.
Composition Contest
All participants are asked to submit written responses showing evidence-based critical analysis of the theme related to the work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., other civil rights leaders, and the ongoing fight for social justice in America. We invite all students in grades who are enrolled in any SFUSD school to participate in our essay contest!

All essays are due Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 5pm.

E-mail subject line should include: "MLK Essay Competition"
Art Contest
All participants are asked to submit artistic works showing interpretations of the themes related to the works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and or other civil rights leaders in the ongoing fight for social justice in America. We invite any Pre-K—12 students enrolled in any SFUSD school to participate in our art contest!

All winners will receive a Gift Card and a certificate of participation. Winners may also be asked to display their art at SFABSE events and ceremonies.
