The strength of our community is built on strong families. Join Kababayan - Filipino/a/x SFUSD Educators and our Filipinx Community Partners in celebrating Filipinx American History Month on Wednesday, October 13th at 6:30-8pm.

The theme of the event is: The Power of Positive Parenting in Filipinx Families: Helping our Youth Thrive. 

Learn about resources and the skills our children will need to handle life’s toughest challenges through a culturally responsive and lens. You will get an opportunity to hear from our parent panel about their personal parenting successes and challenges.

Keynote Speaker: Joyce Javier, MD, MPH, MS is a Filipina pediatrician who leads the Filipino Family Health Initiative, a multidisciplinary team made of health professionals, families, and community partners whose mission is to prevent and decrease teen suicide and depression.
