Due to increased demand for virtual learning options, SFUSD is expanding its online learning program for families who want their child to learn through an online program at this time.
Online Learning Options
The Online Learning Program (OLP) is for medically fragile students. Students interested in an online learning option and do not meet the criteria for OLP can apply to the On Demand Learning Program (ODLP).
Application and Deadline
The initial deadline for OLP was July 30. SFUSD reopened an application on August 13 with a new deadline for applying to ODLP by August 27. SFUSD will determine placement after reviewing applications.

Communicate With Your School
Families should communicate with their school sites in the event that their child(ren) will miss school for any reason. If they have applied to be in an online learning program and are awaiting more information, their child’s absences will be excused. For a limited time, the school can set up an independent learning program for multiple day absences.
