WHAT
Bryant Elementary students will join thousands of other SFUSD students in the Great California Shakeout Earthquake Drill. The purpose of the drill is to practice recommended safety procedures to take during an earthquake, and to assure our families that schools are a safe place to be during an emergency and we are doing our very best to protect their children.

Thursday, October 18th / 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

WHY
Millions of people worldwide will practice how to “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” at 10:18 a.m. on October 18 during the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill, which began in California in 2008. The purpose of the ShakeOut drill is practice and preparation: knowing what to do before, during, and after an earthquake and preparing our homes, workplaces and schools for any type of an emergency.
